The Floral Dance Quilt Block of the Month - September- The Aster Block

Asters take their name from the ancient Greek word for Star due to their Star shaped blooms. They symbolise love, wisdom, faith and patience which reflect the fact that bloom at the end of summer and are the official birth flower for September. Stitch the Aster Motif Block using two pairs of rotated heads with appliquéd centres and stems. The Aster Bloom Block features yellow appliquéd centres to finish. They grow in a variety of colours and we’ve chosen shades of mauves and purple for this beautiful pair of Blocks.
