Make a matching pair of cushions using pretty prints and simple piecing using these easy-to-follow instructions. They’re perfect for 5x5in Charm squares or using up your fabric scraps. Choose small scale prints or plains that contrast from the plain background fabric. Use pastels for a pretty set or bolder prints for a more striking effect.

The Heart Cushion is created from rows of print squares and Half Square Triangles set on a plain fabric background with a plain border to frame it. The cushion back is one square of fabric with a zip inserted in the bottom seam. 

The Cross Cushion features nine print crosses which are made from squares and rectangles then triangles are added around the cross square to turn them on their side to create the cross or ’kiss’ effect. These are set on a plain background fabric. The cushion back is made from two rectangles of fabric with a zip inserted between them for a neat finish. 

Full instructions are included for finishing both cushions and adding the zip including optional quilting details.

The A4 instructions booklet is full colour with step-by-step photos to make them easy to follow.
