We’ve chosen this pack of ten 45mm diameter blades for your rotary cutter as they’re strong, sharp and come in a handy protective Storage Case.

Features

·      45mm diameter blades will fit all brands of 45mm Rotary Cutters

·      Each pack contains ten oil coated blades which keeps them in perfect condition until you’re ready to use them and they’re also easier to separate one at a time.

·      The blades are made from premium Japanese Tungsten alloy steel which makes them razor sharp and long lasting.

·      The ten blades are neatly packaged in a protective custom-made Storage Case to keep them safely enclosed and protected.

Dimensions: Each blade measure 45mm in diameter to fit all brands of rotary cutter and there are ten in a pack

How To Change Your Blade

The Storage Case that your Blades come packaged in is a really useful place to store new and used Blades so you can dispose of them responsibly. Use a permanent marker pen to write NEW on the Storage Case of your new Blades then, once they’re all used, label it USED then you know which Storage Case holds which Blades!

Each brand or style of Rotary Cutter may fit together in a slightly different way, and your Rotary Cutter should come with instructions of how to fit a new Blade. But, if you’re not sure then this method should ensure you fit a new blade correctly each time.

1.     Undo the screw or nut holding your blade in place and place it RS down then remove all the other fittings one at a time and place them all RS down in the order you have removed them, including the Blade.

2.     Give each fitting a wipe to remove any fabric ‘dust’ which will have accumulating when cutting fabric. You’ll probably have washers (metal and/or plastic and a screw) By doing this you can easily see which order to reassemble them and also which way up there are. Many Rotary Cutters come with a washer which is shaped so it’s important you put this back on the right way up.

3.     Most Rotary Cutters can be used right-handed or left-handed so placing everything in the correct order will help to ensure your cutter works for the way you want it to. If you want to change the order so it’s left-handed instead of right- handed (or vice versa) then simply mirror the order the fittings go back together around the Rotary Cutter handle.

4.     Your Blades come oil coated to keep them in perfect condition until you’re ready to use them. The oil also makes them easier to separate. So, take a paper towel and slide one blade off the top of the pile of blades. The paper towel will not only protect your fingers, but you can also wipe the oil off at the same time. Do make sure, at this stage that you’ve only taken one Blade and not two together. If you put two Blades in your Rotary Cutter then you’ll find lots of shredded fabric and threads as you cut – so you’ll soon realise!!

5.     Take the used Blade from the row of fixings you’ve laid out and replace it with the new Blade.

6.     Put the used Blade into your labelled USED Storage Case (or something suitable if you don’t have one yet.)

7.     You can now reassemble your Rotary Cutter by putting everything back on in reverse order to the way you removed all the fixings, making sure you keep them the right way up. There is no right or wrong side to the Blade so you can place it either way up.

8.     Make sure your Blade is free from its protective oil by giving it a quick wipe and it’s ready to use for perfect clean cuts every time.
