The instructions contain all the information you need to make The John Bag and walk you through exactly how to choose and cut out all the fabric pieces then create the Bag.

The A4 instructions booklet is full colour with step-by-step photos to make them easy to follow.

To make The John Bag you will need
(materials not included with instructions)

• Main Fabric: 46x44in (117x44in), for the Bag Outer pieces, Straps, Handles and Pockets. A canvas or cotton drill works well to give the bag structure, but you could use a quilting weight cotton fabric instead if you prefer. You could add stiffness to it using interfacing or a softly padded feel using wadding or fusible fleece.
• Lining Fabric: 30x44in (80x112cm), for the Bag Lining pieces. A quilting weight cotton fabric is ideal. Choose one that co-ordinates with the main fabric
• Bag Zip: No. 5, 15½in (40cm)
• Pocket Zip: No. 3, 10in (25cm)
• Matching sewing thread
